FAQ

Questions before you request an estimate.

Business hours, service scope, materials, service area, and project information are covered below.

Are estimates free?

Yes. Scottsdale Handyman Pro provides free estimates.

What hours are you available?

Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–8 p.m.; Saturday, 8 a.m.–7 p.m.; Sunday, 9 a.m.–6 p.m..

Can I supply my own materials?

Yes. Customers may supply materials. Include the product or material details in the estimate request.

What information should I send?

Start with your name, phone, city, and project description. Email, street address, service selection, and photos are optional for the first request. Your project address and details will need to be confirmed before scheduling.

Do you provide moving transportation?

No. Moving help is labor assistance only; no moving vehicle is provided.

Do you work on Apple or iOS devices?

No. Computer help covers PC, Android, Wi-Fi, printers, software, hardware, and networking; Apple and iOS are excluded.

What electrical work can you help with?

Handyman-scale replacement and installation of outlets, switches, dimmers, ceiling fans, light fixtures, and compatible smart devices using existing connections. Service-panel work, major rewiring, and permit-dependent projects are outside the electrical scope described here.

What plumbing work can you help with?

Handyman-scale work involving faucets, toilets, sinks, garbage disposals, accessible pipes, drains, supply lines, valves, showerheads, and leak troubleshooting. Major repiping and permit-dependent projects are outside the plumbing scope described here.

Which areas do you serve?

Scottsdale first, then Paradise Valley, Phoenix, Tempe, Fountain Hills, Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Glendale, Peoria, Cave Creek, and Carefree. Availability depends on address and scope.

How much experience do you have?

I bring 20+ years of experience across residential renovation, repairs, installations, project management, aerospace engineering, and operations management.

Are you a licensed contractor?

No. Scottsdale Handyman Pro is not a licensed contractor. Arizona generally limits the minor-work exemption to casual or minor projects with an aggregate price under $1,000, including labor and materials, when no local building permit is required. It cannot be used for part of a larger project divided into smaller contracts. Fire-safety installation and related electrical or plumbing work are excluded. A project outside this scope needs an appropriately licensed contractor.
